iHeart Art Review

iHeart Art Episode #13 on YTV
Originally Aired:  February 2,  2008 (14th), Filmed 9th (109)

Synopsis:  To boost Spencer's self-esteem before a gallery showing, the iCarlys find his idol Harry Joiner and ask him to come and see Spencer's art.  Unfortunately Joiner says he doesn't like Spencer's art and Spencer becomes depressed.  He gets a new job as a dental assistant.  This means that Mrs. Benson has to look after Carly at night, which she is NOT pleased with.  The iCarlys go to find Joiner and tell him to help Spencer out, and he admits he really DID like the art and was jealous of Spencer.  In the end the two of them create a giant set of teeth for the dentist.
Meanwhile Freddie bets Sam that she can't insult him for an entire week and craziness ensues.

Fun Facts:
First mention of Galaxy Wars and Nug Nug.  Galaxy Wars is a take off on the movie Star Wars and I believe Nug Nug is a reference to the song sung by the Ewoks at the end of Return of the Jedi.  I refer to the song as the Nub Nub song...but that is close! The character Nug Nug is small and Freddie wears his outfit which is later on the real Nug nug in a future episode.
Freddie has to sign a contract promising that he shampoos twice.
Freddie asks Sam if she wants to kiss him which she does in iKiss.
Miss Briggs is mentioned as being called Bubble Butt by Sam.
Mrs. Benson appears multiple times in this episode.
To be a dental assistant you have to take a pretty intense course, but Spencer just becomes one with no training.
Mrs. Benson doesn't let kids use forks because they will stab their tongues.
Sam spends all her money on beef jerky.
The medical complex is named after Dan Schneider.

Spencer Side Count:  Makes Yipee-Yi Yo Yo, Elephant Cycle and Merry Sniffmas.  iCarly showing of Spencer's work:  Splatter Man, Yippee-Yi Yo yo, Merry Sniffmas, Video Squirrel, Bottlebot.  Creates the giant set of teeth.  Spencers type of art is known as "pop art".

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  This episode is not my favourite.  I don't like depressed Spencer, or dentist Spencer.  The dentist scene grosses me out.  I also don't like the flute beatboxing guy who randomly appears.  I like when Spencer is crazy and nuts!  The redeeming feature of this show is the bet between Freddie and Sam and their insults!

iAm Your Biggest Fan Review

iAm Your Biggest Fan Episode #12 on YTV
Originally Aired:  January 19,  2008 (13th), Filmed 10th (110)

Synopsis:  iCarly super fan Mandy writes to iCarly and gets to come watch an episode.  Unfortunately, she doesn't leave and even transfers to Ridgeway.  Meanwhile Spencer auditions for a band and gets them booked on Seattle Beat.  They proceed to steal his drums and dump him from the band.  When they watch the band on Seattle Beat they find out that Mandy has become obsessed with the band instead of iCarly solving their problem!

Fun Facts:
Mention of Spencer making Carly a lava lamp for her birthday that burst into flames.  First mention of Spencer lighting stuff on fire.
Spencer has an account at the junkyard.
New segment of iCarly called twister vision.
The issue with the car seats always bugged me, because this was played WAY after it was filmed, you see the car seats in 4-5 episodes before they are made.  Major continuity issue.
Mandy appears for the first time.  She shows up in one more episode.  Played by Aria Wallace.
The smoothie place is referred to as the Groovy Smoothie, which it wasn't before.
Mandy is from Tacoma which isn't too far from Seattle.
First mention of the cartoon Girly Cow which has at least 4 seasons.
Mandy admits she got back in the apartment through a window.  Which is interesting considering they live on the 8th floor with access to the 9th and 10th.  That's high up to climb.
When Mandy transfers to Ridgeway, we don't see her again after this episode.  We can assume she either stayed at Ridgeway but left them alone or went back to Tacoma.
The band that Spencer auditions for is also seen in an episode of Victorious.
Fladoodles are mentioned again, Carly says she made them up but Mandy finds them in a Nordic store.
The song that band sings "Baby will you take me back" is heard and sung in several iCarly episodes, in particular Spencer sings it while rollerblading in iBattle Chip, and sings it in the RV shower in iLost my head in Vegas.
Seattle Beat also makes a comeback by booking the band.
Mandy has an obsession with duck masks and quacking which she does in both episodes she appears in.
Messin with Lewbert skit #2 is announced but you don't see it because Mandy quacks.
The Spit Take is shown.
I don't think the name of the band is every said.
Dan Schneider can be heard saying "Somebody call the cops".
Most songs used in iCarly are written specifically for the episodes by the music writers employed.  For instance, I have tried to get the song from iGet Pranky but you can't buy it because it was written for the show.

Spencer Side Count:  Makes the seats for the car in the iCarly studio.  AND the lights light on FIRE!  First fire recorded on iCarly.  Gets a drum set at the junkyard so he can audition for a band.  The cymbal on the drum set lights on fire (2 fires).

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  One of my faves!  I like episode where the two plot lines wind up together.  Wrapping up Mandy with the band was perfect.  Aria Wallace is amazing as Mandy, she is a wonderful little actress! Funnily she is very pretty and looks nothing like the geek that Mandy is.  This episode has great bonding between all three leads with no Sam and Freddie arguing because they are all in the same position of dealing with Mandy!  Besides the seat for the car issue that I have, this is a great episode.  And that song sticks in your head.

Total Score: 5/5

iPromise Not to Tell Review

iPromise Not to Tell Episode #11 on YTV
Originally Aired:  January 12, 2008 (12th), Filmed 18th (118)

Synopsis:  Carly works really hard on a history paper and expects to get an A but then her teacher gives her a B because she printed it on 3 hole punched paper.  Sam finds out the passwords and changes Carly's, Freddie's and her grades.  She makes them promise not to tell.  Freddie and Carly hack into the school network to change their grades back but get caught.  Still Sam doesn't let them off the hook.  Carly starts to lose it mentally and cracks to Spencer.  She then goes to tell the truth but Freddie already confessed.  She confesses and then Sam confesses.  Sam receives detention but at the end changes her detention in the school computer.

Fun Facts:
Only mention of Mr. Devlen the hard teacher.
Apparently he was a lunch room monitor when Spencer went to school
Sam has regular Tuesday appointments with Principal Franklin.
The actor who plays Principal Franklin also played the vulcan on Star Trek Voyager.  He is a reoccuring character but this is the first time we see him.
His first name is Ted.
Miss Briggs is mentioned by not seen.
Gibby is mentioned as being hit with a piece of pizza by Sam.
Principal Franklins username and password are:  Big Teddy and corncake21.
The hand jive that Jennette McCurdy made up to pass time while filming was added into this episode as a way of ankle swearing.
Bacon flavoured gum is mentioned, in the first time that Sam shows her love for bacon.
Carly pins Freddie to the floor in the same fashion that he pins her to the floor in iThink they Kissed in season 3.
ONLY time we see the computer lab in Ridgeway and see the computer teacher Mr. Wimbly.
When Carly faints in class she should have been sent to the medical room because teachers don't ignore large issues like fainting (as I am a teacher).
Since it was Principal Franklins birthday on the day this was shown then his birthday is January 12.
Principal Franklin admits that Carly and Freddie have been to Ridgeway for 3 years.  They are currently in grade 8, so they started in grade 6.  They also go there til the end of the series when they are at least in grade 12...so that is one large high school/middle school.
The microwave given to Principal Franklin is seen again when it lights on fire in iGot Detention.
Wahoo Punch is mentioned for the first time.
The part where Carly pulls out her hair in school is on the blooper reel.
Earlier episodes claim that Sam never lies, but in this one she admits that soon you will lie and feel nothing at all.

Spencer Side Count:  Makes the lamp light up with the Japanese word for ON.  Builds giant A sculpture over and over.

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  One of my fave episodes of season 1!  This one has a great storyline with Spencer being a good big brother and giving good advice.  I love Principal Franklin and his relationship with Sam.  This has a lot of Freddie and Carly working together and very little of the web show.  Carly's freak outs are always awesome.

Total Score: 5/5

iRue the Day Review

iRue the Day Episode #10 on YTV
Originally Aired:  December 1, 2007 (11th), Filmed 15th (115)

Synopsis:  After saving a member of the Plain White Tees, Spencer gets them to agree to play on iCarly.  But iCarly is being hacked by a vengeful Nevel.  The iCarlys break into Nevels house to hack Nevel but they fail when Nevel back hacks them.  They fear they won't get control of their site back in time but then a friend of Colonel Shay's helps Carly by having the military break into Nevels and get him to relent.  The Plain White Tees play on iCarly!

Fun Facts:
Gibby appears in the opening of this episode as a potential guest on iCarly.
Nevel returns!
A friend of Colonel Shay appears on the show and is clearly wearing an Air Force pin on his suit, which at this point means Colonel Shay is NOT in the navy, but the air force.
We see Nevel's lair for the first time.
We find out the Freddie way is a toasted bagel with grape jelly.
Nevel's house is NOT well secured at all.  The window is unlocked, the back door was open and Freddie somehow got on the ceiling and hooked up ropes.
Nevel's nerd cave has a camera watching the front door of Carly's apartment building, a running montage of iCarly screen caps, a pic of Nevel, a pic of his brain, a video surveillance of his home, the iCarly homepage and a video of a bunny moving its nose.
Is there an internet security Act of 1983?  It's mentioned here but living in 1983 I don't recall any internet existing.
Nevel is forced to call himself a Weinie, and in iMeet the First Lady Spencer calls Sam and Freddie weinies.

Spencer Side Count:  Saves a member of the Plain White Tees.

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  Any episode with Nevel is bound to be AWESOME!  I love his vocabulary and his rueing.  Love how Freddie ends up hanging from the ceiling like a giant spider.  The only thing I don't like about the episode is how off key the Plain White Tees are at the end of the show.  I can't stand listening to them so I speed through!   Otherwise this one is GREAT!

Total Score: 4/5

iWant a World Record Review

iWant a World Record  Episode #9 on YTV
Originally Aired:  November 17, 2007 (10th), Filmed 7th (107)

Synopsis:  The iCarlys try to break the record for longest continuous webcast.  Meanwhile Spencer builds a sculpture with over a hundred moving parts.   While Spencer is showing his sculpture on the webcast he shorts out the power and they lose their world record.  Later the record lady returns and gives Spencer a world record for a sculpture with the most moving parts.  He decides to let the iCarlys help him finish it so they can be in the picture for the record book.

Fun Facts:
The Guiness Book of world records is called the Jonas book of world records, after the Jonas brothers.
Random Dancing occurs, we haven't seen it in a few episodes.
Carly casts her fishing line out the studio window and says it goes to the street below.  In a future episode it looks onto an alley that is not well lit (iWant my Website Back).
The tv that swings out during the show is a large red computer screen where in later episodes it's a flat screen tv.
The colourful light at the back of the studio looks exactly like the box that Charles Dingo's head was in.
Fladoodle is mentioned by the gas guy and is also mentioned when Mandy has to go looking for Fladoodles.
Sam says she feels like a princess during the makeover segment and also says that when she wants the large locker in a later episode.
Grandpa Shay returns for the webcast!  He will appear one more time when he visits Spencer to see his sculpture in the art museum.
Spencer has skee ball tickets in this one, and he wants a giant harmonica with them.  In a later episode he finds more of his tickets and tries to get the huge dolphin.

Spencer Side Count:  Builds the sculpture with the most moving parts.  Hits on the world record lady.

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  I'm not a fan of episodes that have a lot to do with their webcast.  Mostly cause I don't like the parts with videos of random kids.  This one isn't so bad because of the makeovers, the buckets of water, and some other funny bits.  I also like when Spencer flirts with the record lady and is jealous of the non-blinking dude.

Total Score: 3/5

iWill Date Freddie Review

iWill Date Freddie  Episode #8 on YTV
Originally Aired:  November 10, 2007 (9th), Filmed 8th (108)

Synopsis:  An iCarly fan named Valerie asks Freddie out on a date (sort of, Sam sets it up), and they have a date at Carly's house.  Freddie starts dating her and she cons him in to leaving iCarly and working on her web show.  Jeremy does the audio/video for iCarly but it just doesn't work out.  Val tries to get Sam to do her show to and admits she is using Freddie.  Carly and Sam tell him but he doesn't believe it.  Eventually Freddie figures it out and comes back to iCarly but not before asking Sam to apologize for not thinking he's a vital part of iCarly.

Fun Facts:
Introduction of the blab cam where they talk to people who watch their show.
We meet Freddie's first girlfriend, Valerie who I believe is in the grade above them.
Freddie admits in iKiss that any kisses with Valerie did not count because he only kissed her once in the middle of school and it wasn't a real kiss.
Mrs. Benson returns with her first rhyme - you won't get respect if your backs not erect.
Mrs. Benson shows she wants Carly to date Freddie in this episode whereas she hates Carly in all other episodes and calls her dummy, dumbo, etc.  And blames Carly for making Freddie all out of wack in iMove Out.
Freddie gets a vest from the Wild Wild Vest.
First mention of Spaghetti Tacos as noodles in a corn shell.
Includes a blooper from iBloop with Valerie.
The return of the hated Jeremy/Germy.
In Sam's locker is a picture of Drake Bell and Johnny Depp.
First mention of the word "skunk bag"
According to Carly Sam doesn't lie, but in a later episode she is the best liar and has to teach Spencer how to lie.
Germy puts nose plugs in which is similar to Carly and Sam when they put blueberries in their noses in a later episode.
Sam and Freddie hug but it ends in a wedgy.
First mention of SOCKO!  Who sells Spencer all the cool socks.

Spencer Side Count:  Makes dinner for Freddie's date, including Spaghetti Tacos.  Appears later on the phone with a Girl Sprout about cookies.

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  This episode is cute with Freddie getting his first date!  I love how crazy Mrs. Benson is.  I do love that this episode focusses on Freddie as he is such a cutie pie!  Also all Freddie's love faces are hilarious especially the one he does when Spencer stares at him.  I do dislike ALL the parts with "Germy" because he is such a gross character.  Ew.

Total Score: 4/5

iSpy a Mean Teacher Review

iSpy a Mean Teacher:  Episode #7 on YTV
Originally Aired:  November 3, 2007 (8th), Filmed 6th (106)

Synopsis:  The iCarlys come up with an idea for a new segment on their show, what mean teachers do when they are not teaching.  Carly and Freddie go and spy on Miss Briggs, but while there Freddie gets spooked by a bee and they run in to her house and have to hide.  They end up in a room filled with Randy Jackson stuff.  Sam comes to rescue them but gets caught in her fake act.  Freddie and Carly also get caught when trying to sneak out.  Miss Briggs makes them agree to have her on iCarly to play her own bagpipe song or get expelled.  But they start to lose viewers because of her and so they use Freddie's green screen to play funny shots behind her and keep their viewers.

Fun Facts:
Miss Briggs returns with her bagpipes.
Freddie introduces the Green screen.
Spencer has a girl over for the first time.

Spencer Side Count:  creates the fish sculpture that is supposed to be Sam, dates the juggling girl

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  This episode is not my fave, but I do like it for the Randy Jackson parts.  I love when Carly says "please be quiet Randy Jackson".  There is a Creddie moment in the closet when Freddie tries to bust a move on Carly.  And Freddie with the cologne is hilarious, it smells tight dawg.
There is not much Spencer in this episode.  I also don't like the end with the bagpipes and the green screen.  I just don't like the webisodes mostly.

iDream of Dance Review

iDream of Dance:  Episode #6 on YTV
Originally Aired:  September 16, 2007 (3rd), Filmed 13th (113)

Synopsis:  After watching Scottish dancing in Miss Briggs class the iCarlys call on their audience to send in "good" videos of dancing.  Then they have to watch 500 videos a night.  While watching the videos they fall asleep and dream of themselves dancing.  Freddie has a dance battle for Carly, Sam appears in a highland dance routine with tap, Carly dances with tuxedoed dudes and then Spencer also has a dream where he does the same dance as Carly.

Fun Facts:
First episode where we see Gibby in the classroom.  This is also a blooper in iBloop.
First time Gibby is shirtless as well.
First time Miss Briggs has Scottish piper music in her class.  She later plays the bagpipes.
We find out Miss Briggs teaches English.
Carly's hair is the opposite to what it was in the last episode.  It was straight as can be last episode and now it's super curly.
We find out that Gibby's locker is the one between Carly and Sam's but in later episodes he is on the opposite wall.
The main dancer in most numbers is from Billy Elliot the musical on Broadway.
We see Spencer's bedroom for the first time.  It is seen again in iChristmas.
Nevel's song is replayed.
This is the first time we get to see Jennette McCurdy's dance skills in tap dancing.  We see them again in iWas a Pageant Girl.

Spencer Side Count:

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:  I dislike this episode ALOT!!!  I hate the entire thing.  It's boring and I find all the dance routines annoying.  Only Jennette (Sam) has dance training so watching the others dance is obviously faked (Freddie).  Although Nathan's little outfit and hair in this is TOO CUTE.  I also hate watching the videos sent in.  I don't like the main dancer with his long hair, he needs to CUT IT.  Even the kids who dance as extras are not very good.  There are only a few dancers who actually can cut it.  The only redeeming thing in this is the Creddie moments where Freddie defends Carly, they have a little cheek kiss, and Carly sleeps on Freddie.  Also I love when Miss Briggs yells "Hello Ridgeway, I AM BRIGGS!"  Oh and one final point - the dress they put Carly in is hideous!  Otherwise this would rate a 0.

Total Score: 1/5 - DISLIKE!  Only one other episode ranks this low - the iCarly awards.  They are my most hated episodes.

iWanna Stay with Spencer Review

iWanna Stay with Spencer:  Episode #5 on YTV
Originally Aired:  September 29, 2007 (5th), Filmed 5th (105)

Synopsis:  On an iCarly webcast Spencer debuts his sculpture Fan of Hammers.  It malfunctions and almost kills Carly.  Their grandfather comes out to visit but then tells Spencer that he is going to take Carly with him because she will be safer.  The iCarlys come up with a plan to make grandpa see Spencer as responsible.  Carly dresses all punk.  But their plan does not go as they would have liked.  Carly is moving to Yakima.  But, just as they are leaving Spencer gives Grandpa a list of Carly's likes and dislikes and all the records he keeps of her medical issues.  This makes Grandpa see him as more responsible and she gets to stay!

Fun Facts:
First time we meet Grandpa and learn he lives in Yakima.  Grandpa Shay appears in at least 2 more episodes.  iWant a World Record and the one where Spencer puts his bottlebot in the art gallery.
We find out that Carly's dad is in the Navy (which later becomes the Air Force)
Grandpa knows Spencer dropped out of law school but apparently never tells their dad.
Spencer carries Carly out on his shoulder during this fire but in later episodes expects her to put them out or runs out before her.
Lewbert appears again, this time upset with people in the lobby.
Mrs. Benson appears again yelling at Spencer for starting the fire.  She also mentions anti-tick lotion for the first time.  We also learn that Freddie doesn't have leg hair, which he clearly has in season 2.
We learn that Carly had asthma as a child, which may be the reason she has to wear that snore mask in two more episodes later.

Spencer Side Count:  Creates Fan of Hammers, falls down stairs, almost kills Carly with a hammer.  First fire set by Spencer, the stirfry.

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:
This is one of my favourite episodes.  I love the relationship between Spencer and Carly, which we see in iDate a Bad Boy and iGoodbye.  I cry when I think of them being separated.  Jerry Trainor is an amazing actor!
I love how Freddie loses it when Carly is leaving.   "Be strong Freddie"
This one also has what I would call a small goof.  When Sam and Freddie are insulting each other in the studio Freddie looks like he's about to laugh instead of being scared.
There is nothing I dislike about this episode.

Total Score: 5/5 - One of my faves!

iNevel Review

iNevel:  Episode #4 on YTV
Originally Aired:  October 6, 2007 (6th), Filmed 4th (104)

Synopsis:  While advertising their webshow the iCarlys are told that if their webshow was popular it would be reviewed on Nevelocity.com.  So they set out to get Nevel to watch their show.  He does and loves it.  Carly goes over to meet him and he acts creepy and loves her, he is also only 11.  Nevel kisses Carly on the cheek and she smushes Tobinod on his face.  Nevel then writes a mean review.  They get back at him by getting Germy to hold on to him.  However, he outsmarts them.  Finally they tell on him to his mom and he fixes the review.

Fun Facts:
First time seeing Jeremy or Germy - my least favourite character.  I really don't like him.
First time meeting Nevel!
When Nevel shows Carly an X-ray of his brain it is exactly the same storyline from Family Ties when the genius played by River Phoenix shows Jennifer the x-ray of his brain.  He also likes her more than she likes him.
First time Wisconsin is mentioned as kind of a dull place, later mentioned in iDo.
First time we see Random Dancing on iCarly.
First time Sam wears a skull outfit, which she is put in multiple times throughout the season.
First time we meet Mrs. Benson and she tells us Freddie is allergic to fruit but he is not.
Sam wears the same pink ugg boots that she wears in an earlier episode.
Nevel rythmes for the first time and says RUE for the first time.
I believe this is the first time we see a computer with a pear on it.
Reed Alexander who plays Nevel runs the website kewlbites.com and tours the country promoting good eating habits for kids.  Nevel appears on several episodes after this one making Carly "rue the day".

Spencer Side Count:  Creates Toasty the Baker out of butter, one of my favourite sculptures.  Turns the toilet water blue.

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:
Dislike the video of the guy dancing covered in peanut butter. Mostly because again, I do not like when other people are on iCarly.
Also dislike Jeremy/Germy, I hated that character.  Mostly he grossed me out so much I just couldn't stand him.
Love Spencer's behaviour at Nevel's...who's a cute Nevel?
Also love Carly's reaction to liking the topinad - "it's really quite good..I can't explain it".
Here's a question...how is it that no one knows what Nevel looks like til now?  After everyone seems to know what he looks like.
I also love the song Nevel plays to put Carly in the mood.
When Spencer freaks out over Toasty melting...love it!
Nevel:  "Your work disgusts me" to Spencer.

Total Score: 5/5 - One of my faves!

iWant More Viewers Review

iWant More Viewers:  Episode #3 on YTV
Originally Aired:  September 8, 2007 (2nd), Filmed 3rd (103)

Synopsis:  Over a spaghetti dinner where Carly sprays Sam and Freddie with water, like cats, the gang comes up with a contest to get more viewers.  The one with the best idea voted on by viewers wins.  The loser has to touch Lewbert's wart.  Carly and Sam make a banner and take it to Seattle Beat, but it is raining and the sign gets washed out.  Meanwhile Spencer and Freddie make a sign that they put up over the interstate.  The sign is so bright it causes a major accident and then it shorts out and spells "Pee on Carl".  Spencer gets arrested and brought home.  Neither team wins but the craziness causes even more viewers to tune in!

Fun Facts:
First mention of Lewbert.  A video is shown of the nasty things the does.  His wart is large and brown like a small bird poop.  In feature episodes it is more skin coloured with a hair.  Messin' With Lewbert is introduced.
First mention of Spencer's funky socks.
Miss Briggs returns and tells Spencer to get out!  We find out her first name is Francine.  Spencer's age of 26 is mentioned again.
First mention of Seattle Beat.  This shows up again when Mandy comes on as their crazed fan.
One of the scenes they film talking about drinking Spaghetti and Meatballs is seen in iBloop.
The cop "Carl" who appears in this episode reappears in the episode iMove Out when the petographers ruin the studio.  The actor also played a cop on 7th Heaven for many seasons.

Spencer Side Count:  Creates the giant sign.  Gets zapped by high voltage wires.

Penny Tee Count:  NONE

Review:
This is a good episode!  Putting Spencer in the main storyline is a good call.  He's hilarious especially when he is showing the sign on the webcast and it says Pee on Carl.  Hilarious.  "Stop beholding the sign!".
Don't like when they do the drinking Spaghetti and Meatballs part.  I have never been a fan of other people appearing on the webcasts.  And ew.
The sign when shown is HUGE over the interstate is not that big when Freddie and Spencer carry it earlier in the show!

Total Score: 4/5

iLike Jake Review

iLike Jake - Episode #2 shown on YTV
Original Airdate:  September 22, 2007 (aired 4th) Filmed 2nd (102)

Synopsis:
After the hottest guy in school breaks up with his girlfriend Carly moves in.  She ends up inviting him to sing on iCarly.  Unfortunately he can't sing at all.  Reluctantly Freddie agrees to distort his voice so it sounds amazing.  This makes Jake's old girlfriend want him back.  No boyfriend for Carly :(

Fun Facts:
First episode where we see Duke the wrestler.  The actor who plays Duke (Doug Brouche) is close friends with Nathan Kress in real life.  They can be seen playing Rock Band/or Guitar Hero together in a video tape put on youtube by Nathan's cousin.
Sam gets her locker beside Carly by making Freddie trade his.
The actress who played the teenage Christina Corinthos-Davis on General Hospital appears and tells Carly that Jake Randall is single.
The actor who plays Jake Randall (Austin Butler) appeared on Zoey 101 as Zoey's boyfriend after Chase leaves PCA.
Freddie continues his love for Carly by showing Jake a photo of Carly and telling him to leave.  Also he does NOT want to help distort Jake's voice.
Spencer shows his protective side for the first time by saying he can pop upstairs at any moment like a NINJA because Carly goes upstairs alone with Jake.
First mention of Cuddlefish when Jake talks about the song played by the remote control.
First episode where a fish is treated badly - When Spencer drinks the fish water and the fish while covered with plaster.
First episode where Carly gets no where with a guy.

Spencer Side Count:  Spencer makes the body splatter paint sculpture.  Spencer falls over the couch for the first time.

Penny Tee Count: NONE

Review:
During this episode Sam and Freddie are not at each other as much as they were in episode 1.  I like this episode because of Freddie!  I think he is hilarious liking Jake's horrible voice and trying to tell him to get lost.  Also like the nose kiss!

One issue I have is that Jake looks WAY too old for Carly and Sam.  They just look too young.  Yet his girlfriends looks about 20!

Total Score:  3/5

iPilot Review

So now that iCarly has come to an end, and YTV has started from iPilot again, I will be reviewing the ENTIRE series for all of you to enjoy.

iPilot - Episode #1
Original Airdate:  Sept. 8, 2007 - 1st episode filmed (101)

Synopsis:  Carly gets detention when Sam draws Miss. Briggs face on an animal.  She takes the fall!  So she and Sam have to watch all the talent show auditions on a Saturday and then give Miss. Briggs the CD.  Freddie helps by video taping.  During the taping Freddie tapes Sam and Carly making fun of Miss. Briggs pointy boobs and ends up putting it on Splash face (accidentally).  The girls try to cover it up but Briggs sees it and tells them she is not putting any of their picks in the talent show.  So Carly comes up with the idea of starting her own webshow with Sam after 27,000 people watched the original video and liked it.  Freddie calls it iCarly and asks to help with the geek stuff and thus is born "iCarly".  Their first webisode focusses on the talent show kids they liked.  They get 37,000 viewers.

Spencer side count:  Spencer makes the bottle bot and the squirrel video camera sculptures.  He also falls from the ceiling in his first stunt.  Nothing is set on fire.

Penny Tee count:  NONE

Fun Facts:  In an episode of the Brady Bunch, Marcia gets in trouble for a portrait of Mrs. Denton written above her drawing of George Washington, which looks like a hippo.  Later it is discovered that her friend Paula did it as a joke, Marcia does get in big trouble for it too.  This echoes Carly's issue in this episode.

Spencer's age is pinned at 26 in this episode, making him 13 years older than Carly.

Carly says she is in grade 8.

Jennette McCurdy got sick after eating too much ham in the takes for this show.  She had refused the spit bucket.

In iGoodbye the cast wears the same hats from the crazy hat party, all except Sam.  Freddie can be seen wearing his too small coon hat and Carly wears her blue cowboy hat again.  No one knows why Sam's original hat is missing but she wears a cheeseburger hat in the final episode.

Also in iGoodbye Miss Briggs returns with her pointy boobs, made extra pointy for effect.

In iApril Fools the school scene where Miss. Briggs tells the girls she isn't going to use the list they gave her is replayed with the girls wearing identical outfits to the ones they wear in iPilot.  Of course the iApril Fools version is twisted to have Spencer show up as the alternate Miss Briggs and sparky the dog  shows up.  Also Freddie does not come up with the name of the show until later in the episode.

Review:

I enjoy this episode because it's super cute!  To see them all so small, is adorable.  Although Freddie is super spazzy and calms down slowly throughout season 1, he is still cute!  Also Freddie and Sam are super hating each other in this episode.  Although that continues throughout the series it does mellow out somewhat.

Spencer doesn't have much of a role in this episode other than to be Carly's brother.

We are introduced to the beat boxing kid, and one of my favourites "I tell you I do not know!!".

I don't enjoy the kids talents.  I've always hated the end credits where I have to watch some random kids show their "talents" and so I mostly speed through the last part of the episode when they show the people who squeeze milk out their eyes, say words backwards and jump on pogo sticks.  I'm not one for that.
