Emma Stone on iCarly

News broke today that Emma Stone will be a guest star on iCarly and filmed her scenes recently.  She apparently is a superfan of iCarly.  The other storyline is that the gang tries to find an adult friend for Spencer!  I'd love to be his friend :)

Also a new episode of Victorious guest starring Jennette should be on soon!  I will update when it appears.  

iBattle Chip New episode

Apparently according to tv guide a new episode of iCarly entitled iBattle Chip will air on Jun 9, 2012 on US tv!  I still have no idea what happened to iGet Banned...that still remains a mystery but this one had the following synopsis:

Spencer meets Chuck's little brother who turns out to be evilier than CHUCK!  Plus Freddie fixes Gibby's laser gun and makes it way too strong!

We'll have to see what happens!

Top 5 of Season 2

Since Season 2 has finished re-airing on late night YTV I thought I'd go over my top 5 favourite episodes from Season 2 of iCarly!

#5 - iStage an Intervention:  In this episode (one of my favourite Spencer ones!)  Spencer finds an old Pack Rat Game and becomes addicted to it.  This one makes me laugh mostly because of Spencer's bizarre spaz dancing when he plays the game!  I could watch that scene over and over.

#4 - iMake Sam Girlier:  This episode celebrates Sam's birthday where she finds out the guy she likes thinks of her mostly as a "duuuude".  She then asks Carly to make her girlier and that involves straightening her hair and putting her in mostly pink fluffy outfits.  I love this episode because Sam tries so hard to be girly and yet ends up beating the crap out of the bully at the end!  I love it.  And the guy ends up loving her for who she is.  I also believe this episode inspired Melanie, who appears in iTwins.

#3 - iDate a Bad Boy - NOT shown on YTV because it's an hour long, this episodes was actually two separate episodes combined to make one.  They were filmed 8 episodes apart.  I therefore must qualify that I enjoy the first half much better than the second half.  In this episode Spencer's motorcycle is stolen and turns out Griffin did it.  He's a hot guy who lives in the building.  At first Carly hates his guts but then while Spencer is out, she falls for him and starts making out with him.  This episode has the Spencer/Carly love that I enjoy!  Spencer becomes her very protective older brother and forbids her to date Griffin.  But of course she does behind is back and by the end of the first half Spencer is okay with it.  The BEST lines are in this one:  Carly exclaiming that she kisses like a princess, Spencer grounding her "for til college!"  Carly asserting that Spencer had to go to the drug store to pick up something for her he doesn't want to talk about.  And the best is when the commercial break comes back and he says "let's recap"...
The second half is based on Griffin being addicted to PeeWee babies.  Which is funny but not as awesome as the first half.  And Spencer's storyline is very lame in the second half.

#2 - iTake on Dingo - This episode is the DEBUT of my favourite prop - the butter sock!  iCarly is being ripped off by the Dingo (Disney) network.  They all head down to take on the writers in LA but Spencer wants to find the frozen head of Charles Dingo.  He does and the ensuing butter sock smack downs are epic.  This one just makes me LAUGH!  And the hobo man is great too.

and my #1 fave - iTWINS! - who doesn't love this episode?  It highlights Jennette McCurdy's talent!  She plays Sam and her twin Melanie (Sam's opposite).  Freddie believes Melanie is made up because he never sees Sam and Melanie together and he's fallen for too many of their tricks.  Melanie is real at the end!  And many fans have asked Dan to make a sequel to this awesome episode.  I love how Freddie tries so hard to make Melanie say she is Sam, and then Melanie kisses him!  Awesome.  This one also has Chuck beating up Spencer once more.

Season One Episodes I hardly rewatch

Awhile ago I posted my top 5 Season 1 episodes of iCarly.  Since then I have rewatched Season 1 AGAIN and so I will now post the shows I don't like and why.

I love iCarly so the shows I don't like are usually few and far between.  But here are ones I often fast forward through.

#5 - iWant a World Record:  I find this episode just a little boring.  There are some bits that are cute and fun but because it's all about their website and doesn't have any really good Spencer action.  This one rates low on my rewatch list.

#4 iCarly Saves TV:  I'm not a big fan of this one either.  I don't like Zeebo, I was not a fan of watching so much of Leon Thomas (at that point, I like him on Victorious).  I hated Amber Tate!  I also didn't like how Freddie really wasn't in this.  The only saving grace is the subplot between Mrs. Benson and Spencer.  I like how she takes care of him and the blooper that came out of the show where Spencer throws the cucumber.

#3 iHeart Art:  Now I love Spencer, but not depressed dental assistant Spencer.  I just didn't care for this episode because it had Spencer being depressed and the iCarly's dealing with the snooty artist man.  Just not worth my viewing sometimes.

#4 iStakeout:  Oh boy, this one drives me nuts!  I really don't like the police being in their place with that bratty kid!  Spencer gets harassed...and the iCarly's dress up in NON convincing outfits to find out if the store across the street is selling pirated movies.  In the end it's pirate movies..which are bad.  I just find it boring.

And the one episode I NEVER rewatch would be:

#1 iDream of DANCE!  OH I really HATE this episode.  Where do I start?  Watching videos of kids dancing is BORING.  Ms Briggs and her bagpipes are back.  Sam does this dance, as the only dancer in the cast Jennette is really good but I just don't like the scene.  Nathan can't dance (which he admits) but the fact that it is so OBVIOUSLY not him dancing just doesn't work for him.  I do think it is cute when he gets all defensive for Carly but that is the only part of the episode I like.  Carly and Spencer (in a dress) dance....it just doesn't have any plot or anything exciting.  BORING!  I usually delete it, but I did watch it this past repeat session just to see if I still really found it boring...and I did.

The end of iCarly

I'm SAD to report that iCarly will film it's last episode in June 2012.  Dan Schneider reported this in TV Guide.  He wants the series to go out on a high note and not overstay it's welcome.  Although I agree with Dan, I'm very sad to see it go.  I just became a HUGE fan!  I will try to follow the three new series that will start up.  Jennette is in a live action series of some sort by Dan.  Noah Munck has a contract with Nick to do a show and Jerry Trainor is set to do a series where he takes care of some 12 year old brainiac.

So after I've reviewed my last iCarly I will continue to update on the casts future and then try to review the new shows when they come out.  Including Madison (by Madisen Hill) as she is Nathan's gf.

The show they are filming currently in New York was reported in TV GUIDE as:

In the upcoming episode titled "iLove Jimmy Fallon," Carly and the gang dedicate a web show to the late-night host with spoofs of his popular skits. Impressed by their parodies, Fallon invites the group to New York to perform in a special live edition of Late Night. And in true iCarly fashion, Gibby suffers a major wardrobe malfunction which means big trouble for the web show's future.


We still have yet to see iGet Banned (which has Madisen in it) and I think there are maybe a few more episodes in the vault.  The finale of the series will be an hour long feature.


As for the two actors who were not mentioned to be getting shows:  Miranda is attending college very soon and I have NO WORD on Nathan's prospects.  


Also just so you all know Noah has been dating American Idol contestant Schuyler Dixon for 1 month, as she tweeted their 1 mos anniversary a few days ago.  Cute times.  She also happens to be his sister Taylor's best friend.  oooh.

I have been looking at Reed Alexander's website kewlbites.com recently.  It's quite good and I'm going to try the recipes AND share them with my students.  There are lots of tips for how live a more healthy lifestyle.  I'm in my 30s and definitely NEED to start fixing up my bad horrid habits.  It's not easy and I admire Reed for not only doing that for himself but sharing his ideas!

So I tweeted him and he retweeted me, favourited me AND replied to me.  I was very shocked.  I have never been responded to by someone from tv!!!  So thank you Reed (who plays Nevel) for noticing me and I plan to help spread the word of your awesome website!

iPear Store Review

WOW!  I LOVED this episode.  Yes yes I did.

Synopsis:  Freddie gets a job at the Pear Store where his selling techniques are too nerdy for the mostly women dummies who come in.  Sam gets a job there when she sells to a woman who Freddie can't sell too.  Sam then becomes his boss, he gets fired and Sam quits.

Subplots:  The fire department says they won't come to the Shays anymore because of Spencer.  Spencer goes to apologize with burnt brownies and they tell him he has to work there for a week, for FREE!  Spencer ends up burning the place up and the fire department banns him again.

Carly sees a nerdy dude she likes at the Pear Store and asks him out (which takes a long time cause he's clueless).  Then when he comes for the date he secretly changes while Carly goes to get snacks and turns into a very aggressive date.  Spencer ends up booting him out the door when Carly yells for help.

Things I liked:

WHERE to begin!!!  I was awesome.  First Gibby's deodorant thing was hilarious.  I loved how he made Carly and Freddie sniff his pits.  Spencer using the word Bahoobays to talk about boobs on his snowwoman made me laugh.

Sam insulting people and then selling to them!
Sam quitting because Freddie was fired.  Very cute.  And mentioning that they used to date, cause Carly never mentions that.
And finally my love for Spencer protecting Carly.  She told him the guy tried to kiss her on her face and he yells "FACE!!!" and then goes all iDateaBadBoy on the guy, kicking him out and breaking his cell phone.  Awesome!

This was a 5/5 because I loved the entire thing and now I'm going to watch it again!

NEW iCarly in Canada FRIDAY!

Good news for YTV viewers.  This Friday at 6pm YTV is airing iHalfoween.   They have yet to air iGo One Direction OR iOpen a Restaurant so I'm not sure why they are jumping the gun.  The US viewers will get to watch iPear Store which airs this coming weekend.  I will of course review it as soon as possible.

In other news.  Noah Munch celebrated his 16th birthday this past weekend and it looks to me like he has a gf.  She's Schyler Dixon from American Idol.  Their families seem to know each other quite well and Noah's sister Taylor hangs out with her all the time.  So are they dating?  Well Nathan used his twitter account to let Schyler know that Noah's phone was dead and he couldn't reply to her text but that he loved her and then did :p  ...so not sure what that is about.

Also the iCarly gang is in NEW YORK.  Fun stuff!
